Shipping Costs

SENT via ROYAL MAIL...

I send all prints via Royal Mail, in part to support my local Post Office because I'd be stranded if it closed! I always try to charge honestly and transparently for shipping, keeping pace with the changes made by Royal Mail each year. For small businesses, it's much harder to absorb regular price increases - we're not Amazon after all (and I hope you wouldn't want us to be!).

Following the Royal Mail's most recent price review, I've simplified my postal rates and now offer flat rates for international shipping, depending on where in the world you are. Shipping is calculated and added at checkout... I don't roll shipping costs into print prices in order to offer the illusion of free shipping, and I'm very happy to combine orders and refund excess shipping charges where multiple orders are placed to the same destination.

TRACKING:

For peace of mind (mine and yours...), my default shipping is now TRACKED for both UK and International orders. You will receive a tracking number when your order is posted - please check your junk mail folder as they sometimes end up there!

If you wish to opt out of tracking on your package, please email me with your order number and I will adjust your shipping price (in most cases it only saves between £1 and £3).

SHIPPING TO THE EU **PLEASE NOTE: Sales Tax/Customs charges may now apply!**

As of January 2021, the UK is no longer part of the EU (Argh!!!!).

Orders from EU countries may now be liable for a local sales tax and/or customs charges - this can be an additional 17-25% on top of the original purchase price, depending on your country. This is applied in a similar way to customs charges, to be paid by the customer upon receipt of your order.

Please look out for notifications from your local tax authority as they may not deliver your print/s until the necessary charges have been paid - I've had a few bounce back over the sea to me when recipients haven't been aware of this...

I'm afraid the whole process is somewhat mysterious and inconsistently applied and I've yet to find a reliable, definitive list of charges. I can only apologise profusely for any additional costs incurred - please know that it is out of my control, and I wish it wasn't so.
